Services for Mrs. Anna Nielsen, 89, of Garner, who died Sunday at Concord Care Center in Garner, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, with Rev. Msgr. Roger O'Brien as celebrant.

Mrs. Ronald Kumsher, organist, will accompany the choir. Elmer Urich and Robert Kral will be ushers. Gift bearers will be Deborah Flattery and Ann Wellik. Julie Nielsen, Barbara Nielsen and Lisa Wellik will be lectors.

Casket bearers will be Bryan Nielsen, Mike Nielsen, Dan Nielsen, Mike Young, Dave Flattery, Charles Luna, Phil Wellik, Pat Wellik, Tim Wellik, Steve Nielsen, Tom Nielsen and Bob Reisel.

Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery at Garner.

Visitation is after 1 p.m., Tuesday, and with Rosary Society rosary at 6:30 p.m. and "Scriptural Wake Service" at 7 p.m. at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Anna Nielsen, the daughter of George and Suzanna (Adams) Faas was born June 16, 1896 at Stacyville. After attending school at Stacyville she moved to Garner in 1930.

October 21, 1933 she was married to Hans P. Nielsen at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner. They lived their entire married life in Garner. Anna had worked as a cook at the Garner-Hayfield Community Schools for over 10 years.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rosary Society and of the Garner American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Joseph (Gloria) Wellik of Britt, Hans Nielsen and his wife, Darlene, of Ft. Dodge and Joseph Nielsen and his wife, Joan, of Clear Lake; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans, September 21, 1981; an infant son, George Paul Nielsen; her parents; her sister, Mrs. Rosina Thome; 2 brother, Mike Faas and Ben Faas.
