Dennis L. Cooper, 26, dies at New Hampton work site

Services for Dennis LaVell Cooper, 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Cooper of Forest City, were held Monday afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran church, with the Rev. Owen Gangstead officiating. Interment followed at Madison cemetery. Olson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Funeral music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wold, vocalists, and Norma Boomgarden, organist. Roger Hunt, John Gipper, Jimmy Wood, Larry Falk, Robert Ranney and Robert Kolasch were casket bearers.

Cooper died last Thursday at the Sara Lee construction site in New Hampton, where he was working. He was presumed electrocuted.

He was born April 19, 1945, in Garner, and married the former Judith Miller at Ventura on July 25, 1964. He had been living in rural Sumner for the past several months.

Cooper is survived by his parents, his wife, a six-year-old son, Gregory, a four-year-old daughter, Michelle, a brother, Wayne, of Waverly, and a sister, Vicki, living at her parents' home.
