Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 16. at 10:30 a.m. for Christina C. Nedved, 77, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Celebrants were Rev. Msgr. Roger O'Brien and Rev. John Brickley.

Joseph Wellik was lector and mass servers were Jon Leerar, Paul Dornbeir and Phillip Dornbier. Organist was Mrs. Roger Kopacek and she accompanied the church choir. Ushers were Cletus Nedved and Melvin Wellik.

Casketbearers were Bernard Nedved, Leo Nedved, Frank Wellik, Jr., Leo Wellik, Vince Panos and Leonard Rayhons. Interment was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Duncan.

Christina Clara Nedved, daughter of Joseph and Petrona Patacek Wellik, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 14, at the Hancock Co. Memorial Hospital, Britt. She was born December 20, 1903, in Duncan.

She attended the rural schools of Hancock County and was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church of Duncan. She was united in marriage with James Nedved Nov. 22, 1962, in Duncan. The couple operated a garage and machine shop along with their farming operation for many years in the Duncan area. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Catholic Workmen Branch #51 of Duncan.

She is survived by her husband James of Britt; a son Raymond and wife Beverly of Mason City; daughters Evelyn and husband Donald Curtis of Arvada, Colo., Rose and husband Don Dornbeir, Garner, Teresa and husband Lester Leerar, Britt; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Nedved, Garner, Louisa Vrba, Britt; Beatta Rayhons, Garner; and one brother, Jilji Wellik, Britt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, three brothers and two sisters.
