Ireta Deibler
1916-1989

Services for Mrs. Ireta Deibler, 73, of Miller, who died Thursday, July 13, 1989 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, were held 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 17 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Gamer with with Rev. Msgr. Roger E. O'Brien as celebrant and Rev. Msgr. Russell Bleich as cocelebrant. Wencl Kadrlik was lector.

Mrs. Ronald Kumsher, organist, accompanied the church choir. Ushers were Elmer Urich and Robert Kral.

Casket bearers were Ireta's sons Jack Deibler, Jim Deibler, Joe Deibler, Bob Deibler, Bill Deibler and Tom Deibler.

Burial was in St, Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Garner. Visitation, Scriptural Wake Service, Parish rosary and Rosary Society Rosary were held Sunday evening at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Ireta Deibler, the daughter of James and Daisy Mae (Clark) Ross, was born April 14, 1916 at Britt. After graduating from Britt High School in 1933, she was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until 1938.

April 20, 1938, she was married to Merle James Deibler at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Britt. They lived in Britt for two years and then moved to Miller, where they lived the rest of their lives. She had worked at Concord Manor Care Center in Garner and at the Forest City Municipal Hospital as a Nursing Assistant and Central Sterile Technician.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her children, John Deibler and his wife, Lois of Huntington, IN, James Deibler of Miller, Mrs. Madonna Lassahn of Mason City, Mrs. Rita Furst and her husband, Martin of Britt, Joseph Deibler of Garner, Robert Deibler and his wife, Diane, of Garner, William Deibler and his wife, Diana of Hayfield, Mrs. Betty Knazs and her husband, John of Baton Rouge, LA, Mrs. Kathryn Pueggel and her husband, David of Clear Lake, Thomas Deibler and his wife, Elaine of Garner, Mrs. Patricia Bethel and her husband, George V. of Arvada, CO, Mrs. Barbara Dannewitz and her husband, Mark of Napa, CA, Mrs. Peggy Lemke and her husband, Jon of Urbandale and Mrs. Janet Goll and her husband, Steven of Garner; 37 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Donald (Bettie) Anderson of Britt and a son-in-law, Doug Evans of Madison, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, September 12, 1988; her daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Evans, September 30, 1982; her parents; an infant brother, Donald James Ross; and her step-father, John Harold Stevenson.
