Services for Arlene Lovik, 74, Forest City, who died Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at her home were held Friday, July 26, 10 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Forest City with Rev, Gary Marzolf officiating.

Music was provided by soloist, Ben Anderson, and organist, Nancy Ferndale.

Casket bearers were Michael Lien, Orville Johnson. Carl Sommers, Lynn Osterkamp, Jerome Helmer, John Kingland and Vince Zrostlik.

Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme, with Petersen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Arlene Lovik, the daughter of John and Anna Marie (Heginger) Pannhoff, was born March 12, 1922, in Ell Township. She received her education in a rural school near her home.

In 1952, she married Roy Lovik in Des Moines. The couple made their home in Garner until 1960 when they moved to Forest City. Besides caring for her home and husband, Arlene did wallpapering and painting. She was a considerate hostess nearly every day to a kitchen full of friends and neighbors who gathered to visit and have coffee.

She enjoyed attending the United Methodist Church in Forest City.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Lovik of Forest City; a sister, Mary Clark of Red Wing, MN; three brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Frances Pannhoff of Kanawha, Merle and Ruth Pannhoff and Raymond and Lorena Pannhoff, all of Ventura; a sister-in-law, Marlene Pannhoff of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dean and Lyle; and infant sister, Grace; and an infant brother, George.
