Services for Olga Ollenburg, 97, of Garner who died Sunday, March 22, 1998, at Concord Care Center in Garner will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Garner, with the Rev. Carl Hedberg officiating.

Music will be provided by Mrs. Louise Boehnke, organist, who will accompany congregational hymns. Ushers will be Harold Pueggel, Carrol Boehnke and Gordon Boehnke.

Casket bearers will be Olga's grandchildren, Timothy Wolfram, Rev. Michael Wolfram, Pamela Nordmeyer, Sherry Becker, Scott Ollenburg, Kimberly Ollenburg, Reece Ollenburg and Daniel Ollenburg.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Olga Anna Alvina Ollenburg, the daughter of Ferdinand and Martha (Ziesmer) Boehnke, was born May 26, 1900 at Ventura. June 17, 1900, she was born by the rite of Holy Baptism into the family of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at St. John's Lutheran Church. She attended St. John's Lutheran Elementary School and on April 5, 1914, by the rite of confirmation, confessed her faith in Jesus Christ and was received into the communicant membership of St. John's Lutheran Church.

August 31, 1922, she married Emil C. Ollenburg at St. John's Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm located near their home church until 1970 when they moved to Clear Lake. The closing years of her life were spent at Prairie View Apartments and Concord Care Center.

Olga was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a charter member of the Ladies Aid, sang in the church choir and was a Sunday school teacher for 45 years. She was active in the Ventura Garden Club and the RH club.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Wolfram and husband. Rev. James of Spirit Lake; her son, Robert Ollenburg and wife, Elaine of Ventura; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Jass of Garner and Ruth Ollenburg of Garner; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil on September 26, 1985; her parents; a sister, Emma Puggel, July 28, 1981; and two brothers, Theodore Boehnke, June 20, 1988, and Ferdinand Boehnke who died in infancy in 1907.
