Services for Robert Gene Alphs, 42, of Morris, IL, formerly of Woden, who died Monday, July 15, 1991 at the Morris Community Hospital in Morris. IL, were held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 18, at the Nazarene Church in Britt with Rev. Brandt Freeburg as officiant.

Mrs. Brandt Freeburg served as organist and accompanied, soloist, Bruce Halverson. Ushers were David Eden and Duane Logemann.

Casket bearers were Brad Spear, Gene Eden, Keith Eden, Kevin Alphs, David Alphs and Marvin Alphs.

Burial was in Bingham Township Cemetery south of Woden. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Woden.

Robert Gene Alphs, the son of Donald and Irma (Eden) Alphs, was born July 18, 1948 at Forest City. He graduated from Woden-Crystal Lake High School in 1966. He was currently living in Morris, IL where he was employed by the R. Guest Dog Training Kennels.

He is survived by his three sons, Zachory, Jarod and Nicholaus, all of Gowrie; his parents, Donald and Irma Alphs of Woden; his sister, Mrs. Connie Spear and her husband, David of Coal City, IL; his brother, Michael Alphs and his wife, Julie of Britt; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Aletta Eden of Woden; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Gerda Alphs of Buffalo Center; and seven nieces and nephews.
