Graveside services for Claude N. Ausmus, 74, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Garner, who died Wednesday, April 5, 1989 at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO of natural causes, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 8 at Concord Cemetery in Garner. McGilley Antioch Chapel in Kansas City, MO were in charge of arrangements. Cataldo Funeral Home of Garner was in charge of local arrangements.

Claude N. Ausmus, the son of Charles N. and Elizabeth J. (Thompson) Ausmus, was born January 2, 1914 in LaClede, MO.

He was an over-the-road truck driver for 32 years, retiring in 1975.

He was a member of the North Cross United Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO, a member of Orient Masonic Lodge 546, Orient Chapter of Order of Eastern Star No. 491 Scottish Rite and Royal Neighbors.

He is survived by his wife, Grace B., Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Sue Mathahs, Thompson and Jean Schisel, Garner; one sister, Beatrice Johnson, Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
