Services for Mrs. Connie Albers, 47, of Clear Lake, who died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1991 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, 1991 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ventura with Rev. Daird Korth as officiant.

Mrs. Rick Lueders, organist, accompanied Mrs. Dale Wood and Douglas Hayes, who sang as a duet. Ushers were Richard Hopper and Bob Wolfram.

Casket bearers were Bill Zook, Brian Jass, Shawn Hemsted, Craig Lemke, Bob Bonifas and Gordon Mennen.

Burial was in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Connie Rae Albers, the daughter of Otto Henry and Eva (Evanson) Jass, was born January 7, 1944 at Garner. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner. After graduating from Garner High School in 1961, she worked for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Minneapolis for several years and then moved to Dublin, CA. In 1970, she moved to Garner and then to Mason City where she worked for Life-Time Motor Homes.

December 3, 1971, she married George Alan Albers in South Dakota. They farmed southwest of Clear Lake, until they moved into Clear Lake in May of 1985.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ventura.

She is survived by her husband, George Alan Albers of Clear Lake; her daughter, Kimberly Albers of Ames; her son, Chad Albers of Clear Lake; three step-sons, Kevin Albers and his wife, Kim of Krum, TX, Jeff Albers and Dale Albers, both of Mount Holly, NJ; two step-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Otto (Eva) Jass of Garner; three brothers, Gary Jass and his wife, Arlene of Clear Lake, Daryle Jass and his wife, Carol of Ankeny and Douglas Jass and his wife, Marilyn of Remer, MN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Jass, February 5, 1989.
