Services for Nordahl C. Anderson, 75 of rural Garner, who died Friday, Dec. 21, 1990 at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego, CA were held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ventura with Rev. Daird Korth as officiant.

Mrs. Beryl Wubbena, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Ronald Anderson, organist. Ushers were Harry Roenfanz and Richard Hopper.

Honorary bearers were Richard Jahn, Ronald Brager, Arthur Hoeft, Don Ransom, James Brones and Ivan Barkema.

Active bearers were Dale Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Roger Furness, Dennis Nonnweiler, Craig Ackarman and Beryl Wubbena.

Burial was in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Nordahl Curtis Anderson, the son of Conrad and Cora Grace (Hall) Anderson, was born July 16, 1915 on a farm north of Ventura. After graduating from Ventura High School in 1934, he began farming near Ventura.

March 22, 1941, he married Irene Lois Nonnweiler at the Lutheran parsonage in West Union. They farmed their entire married life northeast of Garner.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ventura and a former member of Ellington Prairie Lutheran Church of rural Garner.

He had sung in the choir and held several church offices in both churches.

He is survived by two sons, Joel Anderson and his children Adam and Jennifer, all of Forest City, and Ross Anderson and his wife, Paula, and their son, Benjamin, all of Dumont; his sister, Mrs. Ardith Furness and her husband, Edwin of Garner; a brother, Roy Anderson and his wife, Beverly of Ventura; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Reva Anderson of Forest City and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Anderson on September 29, 1986; an infant son; his daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Christensen in 1968; his parents: and two brothers, Grant Anderson and an infant brother, Leonard Anderson.
