Rites Held Here Saturday For Fred Kopischke, 91

Funeral services for Fred R. Kopischke, 91, longtime resident of Forest City, were conducted Saturday afternoon at Olson Funeral home. Rev. Donald Loots, pastor of St. James Lutheran church in Mason City officiated at the services.

Kopiscnke died last Thursday at Good Samaritan Home in Mason City. He had moved to Mason City 20 years ago and entered the nursing home eight years ago.

Born July 19, 1870 in West Prussia, Germany, the son of Karl and Minnie Kreklan Kopischke, he came to the U. S. when he was 6 years old.

He married Minnie Chisel Sept. 15, 1896.

Surviving are a son, Raymond; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie Wilson, both living in Oregon; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Floyd.

Music at the services was provided by Mrs. Russell Lewis, organist; and Mrs. Eugene Nicholson, soloist. Pallbearers were John Hagadus, Robert Blake, Harold Maass, Ray Webb, Carl Sunde and John Albers.

Burial was in the Madison township cemetery.
