Services for Joanne E. Reinken, 51, of Algona, who died Monday, Feb. 27, 1989 at her home in Algona were held Wednesday, March 1, 1:30 p.m. at the Ewing Funeral Chapel in Britt with Rev. Gregory Ubben officiating.

Music was provided by Judy Oudekerk, organist, and soloist, Kay Allen.

Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Britt with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Joanne Esther Reinken, the daughter of Kenneth J. and Revera Trenary Gist, was born June 5, 1937 at Gilmore City. She received her education in the Bancroft Public Schools. She had resided in the states of Arizona and California. In the late 1960's she moved to Britt where she had been a resident until three months ago when she moved to Algona.

For ten and one-half years, Joanne was employed at the Hancock County Care Facility. She enjoyed reading and working with flowers.

She is survived by her mother, Revera Gist of Algona; her daughter, Tammy Lynn Spencer of Algona; her maternal grandmother, Pearl Treanary of Humboldt; one sister, Jody Lynn Gist of Algona; one brother, Jerry Gist and his wife of Algona; four uncles, Robert, Orrin and Jim Trenary, all of Humboldt, and Giles Gist and his wife, Margaret of Des Moines; two nephews, Andy and Richard Gist of Algona; and one niece, Sheri Gist of Algona.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth J. Gist.
