Services for Kathleen E. Jacobson, 85, Britt, who died Friday, Jan. 24, 1997, at the Westview Care Center in Britt, were held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Britt with Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Joe Wellik was lector.

Music was provided by organist, Larae Hobscheidt. Bob Horstman was usher.

Casket bearers were Monte B. Hiscocks, Dale Swenson, Leroy Stalzer, Paul Horstman, Paul Kelly and Michael Hilbert.

Burial was at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Britt, with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen E. Jacobson, the daughter of Winton and Margaret Davis Chandler, was born September 12, 1911, in Rochelle, IL. She received her education in Britt.

September 12, 1938, she married Robert V. Jacobson in Britt, where the couple made their home. Her family and friends were her enjoyment.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Britt, the Rosary Guild and Catholic Daughters of Americas. She was a resident of the Westview Care Center since October of 1988.

She is survived by her son, Roger of Britt; a son-in-law, Don Fisher of Boulder, CO; two grandchildren, Steve Fisher of Golden, CO, and Valerie Baylie of Arvada, CO; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty and her husband, Robert Anderson of Indian Head Park, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 1988; a girl, Mary Jane Fisher in 1988, whom they had raised from childhood; two sisters, Lucille and Bernadine; and three brothers, Dub, Don and Gene.
