Services for Dena Stille, 97 of Garner, who died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at Concord Care Center were held 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, at Zion Evangelical & Reformed Church in Garner with Rev. Darrel Weber as officiant.

Mrs. Alan Jass was the organist. Ushers were Charles Hughes and Dean Goll. Casket bearers were James Stille, John Stille, Bruce Stille, Richard Sutton, Paul Sutton, Curt Miller, Darrin Gillett and Richard Remerowski.

Burial was at Concord Township Cemetery, Garner. Visitation was Friday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel and prior to the services.

Dena Lulu Stille, the daughter of George Henry and Christina "Nonie" Katherine (Goll) Greiman, was born August 17, 1901, on a farm south of Garner. She attended school at Liberty Township #6 and Garner High School.

February 24, 1922, she married Earl Carl Stille in Northwood. They lived in Garner the rest of their lives, where Earl was in the construction business. The church was the center of Dena's life. The Depression Years influenced and shaped her thoughts in regard to raising her family. She moved to Prairie View Apartments for several years and then to Concord Care Center, January 14, 1991.

She enjoyed her family, friends, cooking, gardening and special family events.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical & Reformed Church and was a charter member of Zion's Womens Fellowship.

She is survived by three sons, Clinton Stille and his wife, Jeanne of Emmetsburg, Russel Stille and his wife, Emily of Webster, WI and Arvil Stille and his wife, Sandra of Garner; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, Lory Sutton and her husband, Richard, and their three children, Paul, Kathryn and Thomas, Bruce Stille and his wife, Corrine, and their two children, Kyle and Kirsten, John Stillle and his wife, Kate, and their two children, Jake and Kimberly, Susan Remerowski and her husband, Richard, and their two children, Amy and Ryan, James Stille and his wife, Kathy, and their three children, Jessica, Brayton and Emma, Debra Miller and her husband, Curt, and their daughter, Rachel and Mary Gillett and her husband, Darrin, and their daughter, Kaitlyn; two brothers, Edwin "Shorty" Greiman of Garner and Howard Greiman and his wife, Pauline of Garner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Stille, March 1, 1971; her parents; and three brothers, Marvin "Mike" Greiman, Wilson "Willie" Greiman and Norman Greiman.
