Services for Naaman W. Seefeld, 84, Garner, formerly of Britt and Woden, who died Friday, April 10, 1998, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, were held Monday, April 13, 10:30 a.m., at the Woden Christian Reformed, Church, Woden, with Rev. William Culbertson officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Mary Ann Van Wheelden, who accompanied soloist, Charolette Frideres, and the congregational hymns. Ushers were Harley Limberg, Robert Penning and John Smidt.

Casket bearers were Dan Hayward, Christopher Dolphin, John Hayward, Jason Dolphin, Chad Hayward, Greg McNeese, Ken Coon, Gary Plummer, Cliff Coone, Wade Dewall and Scott Lenning.

Burial was at the Woden Church Cemetery with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Naaman Willie Seefeld, the son of John A. and Laura Capp Seefeld, was born August 11, 1913, near Burt. He attended country school in the Wesley area.

February 29, 1936, he married Esther Crone at the United Brethren Parsonage in Goodell. The couple farmed south of Woden. Esther passed away August 20, 1972. Naaman continued to farm until 1978 when he retired and moved to Britt. He then moved to Woden in 1988 and to Prairie View Apartments at Garner in 1994.

Naaman was a member of the Woden Christian Reformed Church. He was very active in the lives of his children, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

He is survived by his children, Sharon Hayward and her husband, Jerald of Avon, SD, Marilyn Coon and her husband, Dallas of Renwick, Roger Seefeld and his wife, Phyllis of Wesley and Carol Dolphin and her husband. Dean of Garner; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Seefeld of Britt; and one brother, Leander Seefeld of Algona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and three sisters.
