Services for Anna L. Schreur, 84, Kanawha, who died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, were held Saturday, March 25, 10:30 a.m., at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church in Kanawha with Rev. David Daly as officiant.

Music was provided by organist, Marilyn Dekruyff, and soloists, Tim, Nate, Dan and Aaron Schreur. Ushers were John Eekhoff Jr. and John Rietema.

Casket bearers were David Dirksen, Mike Dirksen. Susan Vriezen. Tim Schreur, Nate Schreur, Dan Schreur and Aaron Schreur.

Burial was at the Amsterdam Township Cemetery in Kanawha with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Anna Lorena Schreur, the daughter of Okko and Mary Gatena Uken, was born June 21, 1910 in Kanawha. She graduated from Kanawha High School in 1928 and worked in the grocery store in Kanawha.

April 6, 1938, she married George Schreur at Kanawha. They made their home on a farm in Kanawha where they have lived their entire married life.

Anna was a member of the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church and the Ladies Aide in which she was very active.

She is survived by her husband, George; her daughter, Ruth and her husband, Larry Dirksen of Woden, and their children, David and Karen Dirksen, Susan and Bruce Vriezen and Mike Dirksen; her son, Robert and his wife, Char Schreur of Kanawha, and their children, Tim and Diane Schreur, Nate, Dan and Aaron; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Eekhoff of Wellsburg and Betty Schreur of Kanawha; a brother, Harm and his wife, Ann Uken of Kanawha; and a sister-in-law, Thressa Uken of Outlook. WA.

She was preceded in death, by her parents; one brother, Donald; three brothers-in-law, Edward Eekhoff, John Schreur and Garrett Schreur; and two sisters-in-law, Zella Schreur and Mary Schreur.
