Services for Mrs. Karen Schoolcraft, 36, of Miller, who died Thursday at University Hospitals in Iowa City, were held 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 19 at Faith Lutheran Church in Miller with Rev. Philip Peters as officiant.

Organist, Nancy Anderson accompanied the Young Women's Choir which sang "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden." Ushers were David Luscomb and Ted Hall.

Casketbearers were: Ralph Haan, Bill Short, Bill Olson, Pat Azeltine, Jack Deibler, Dennis Baker and James Schoolcraft.

Burial was in Ellington Prairie Cemetery east of Miller. The Cataldo Funeral Home of Garner was in charge of arrangements.

Karen Lee Schoolcraft, the daughter of Nat and Adelia (Thompson) Shattuck was born Jan. 23, 1943 at Preston, Minn. She graduated from high school in Lanesboro, Minn., attended Waldorf College in Forest City for one year and the following year graduated from Secretarial School in Winona, Minn.

Dec. 26, 1962 she was married to Fred Schoolcraft at Spring Valley, Minn. They had lived all of their married life in Miller.

Karen was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, A.L.C.W. and Christian Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; her children, Tom, Roberta, Carolyn, Judy, Pat and Lorie; her mother, Mrs. Adelia Shattuck of Whalen, Minn. and her aunt Doris Shattuck of Whalen, Minn.
