Mrs. J. Ross, Kanawha Paralytic Suffer, Died Wed., May 4th
Funeral Services Held Sunday, May 8, At Kanawha Methodist Church

Mrs. John Ross, of Kanawha, died at her home Wednesday of last week May 4, and was buried in Kanawha cemetery Sunday, May 8. One week before her death, Mrs. Ross suffered a paralytic stroke, and from that time close to her held but little hope for her recovery.

For many years the deceased bad been a resident of the Kanawha territory. The maiden name of the deceased was Miss Kiley. On November 15, 1894, she was married to John Ross and at that time came from her home town of Earlville, to Kanawha, to reside. At the time of her death, Mrs. Ross was 68 years of age.

Mr. and Mrs. Rose lived upon a farm near Kanawha for many years, but 15 years ago they retired from active operation of their farm and came to Kanawha to live.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters. The daughter, Mrs. Margaret Terkins, resides in San Diego Calif. She arrived at the bedside of her mother a couple of days before she passed on. One brother, Phillip Kiley, resides upon a farm near Kanawha. The other brothers are Nicholas, John and Roger Kiley, all whom reside at Garbon, Minn. The sisters are: Mrs. Ellen Flannery, of Lake Wells, Minn., and Mrs. Norman Ryan, of Hampton, Iowa.
