Services for Elizabeth G. Rose, 93, Crystal Lake, who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1992 at her home, were held Monday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake with Rev. Ken Suetterlin officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Mabel Rensink, and soloist, Mrs. Frank Haugland. Ushers were Larry Kunkel and James Sorenson.

Casket bearers were Walter "Tom" Rose II, Paul Buns, Harvey Robbins, Todd Mortensen, Tom Culhane, Jim Culhane, Mark Greiman, Dan Schultz and Bob Faedtke.

Burial was at the Crystal Lake Township Cemetery, Crystal Lake, with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth G. Rose, the daughter of George and Susie Harris Ragan, was born September 12, 1898 on a farm northwest of Crystal Lake. She received her education in Forest City and graduated in 1917 second highest in her class.

November 5, 1919, she married Howard Rose at Buffalo Center. The couple made their home on the farm where she was born. In the early 1970's they moved into Crystal Lake.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake, the American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizens, 4-H and school activities. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.

She is survived by her son, Walter and wife, Marjorie of Crystal Lake; four daughters, Ellen Robbins of Kerrville, TX. Grace Culhane of Palatine, IL, Catherine Mortensen and her husband, John of Britt, Nancy Buns and her husband, Maurice of Woden; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard, in 1975; one sister; and two brothers.
