Marlene L. (Pinny) Ridder

Mason City - Marlene L. (Pinny) Ridder, 40, of 322 Fifth St. N.W., died Friday (Nov. 10, 2000) at The University of Iowa Hospital following a brain aneurysm.

A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fullerton Family of Funeral Homes, 123 Second St. S.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Bill Poland of the Wesley United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the services at the funeral chapel.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Marlene L. Ridder memorial fund.

Marlene was born on Nov. 23, 1959, in Mason City, the third of four children of Dennis G. and Elvira (Lind) Ridder. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1978 and has lived here ever since. She worked at various restaurants in Mason City, most recently at the Mason City Elks Lodge and the Sportsman's Lounge.

She enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews and playing cards. She looked forward to spending her birthday and Christmas with her family and friends.

Those who shared in her life include her father, Dennis G. Ridder, Mason City; her twin sisters, Marilyn and her husband Dirk Petersen, and Marian Klein, both of Des Moines; her younger brother, Dennis C. Ridder and Tricia of Mason City; four nephews, Blake and Andrew of Des Moines, Tyler and Zachary and one niece, Alexis, all of Mason City; her paternal grandmother, Dolores Ridder, Klemme; and a host of friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her mother, Elvira Ridder; and her grandparents, Lee A. Ridder and Karl and Elisabeth Lind.
