Services for Lloyd E. Pornmer, 51, Grand Rapids. MI, formerly of Woden, who died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1994, at his home in Grand Rapids, were held Saturday, Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m., at the Christian Reformed Church in Woden with Rev. Brent Wassink officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Dorothy Garrett, and soloist, Charlotte Frideres. Ushers were Ivan Alphs and George Smith.

Casket bearers were Marlyn Franzen, Roger Seefeld, Paul Tjaden, Arnold Eden, Dale Meyer and James Eden.

Burial was at the Christian Reformed Church Cemetery, Woden, with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lloyd Eugene Pommer, the son of Henry and Winifred Rietema Pommer of rural Wesley, was born May 23, 1942 in Britt. Lloyd was baptized and made confession of faith in the Woden Christian Reformed Church, rural Woden. He attended the Titonka Schools and graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.

June 13, 1963, he married Luthene Bruinsma in Rochester, NY. Lloyd operated an insulation business for a few years in Lansing, MI. Later he moved to Grand Rapids where he had employment until he was stricken with a heart condition for which there was limited help.

He is survived by his two sons, Lloyd Eugene Jr. of Comstock Park. MI, and Loren Henry of Kanagawa, Japan; his mother, Winifred Pommer of Britt; a sister, Vivian and her husband, Edward Rippentrop and their two sons, Jonathan and Steven of Pella; two brothers, George and his wife, Nancy, and their three sons, Nathan, Mark and Timothy, all of Ada, MI, and Daryl and his wife, Mary, and their three children, Susan, Henry and Joshua, of rural Wesley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, exactly 21 years earlier on February 15, 1973, also at the age of 51.
