Tena Limberg

Services were held May 1, 1993, at the Christian Reformed Church in Woden, Iowa for Tena Limberg, 94, who passed away Wednesday, April 28, 1993 at the Titonka Care Center in Titonka, Iowa with the Rev. Gerald DeVries as officiant.

Organist Mary VanWeelden accompanied Ken Limberg, John Smidt, Paul Tjaden and Harlan Eekhoff who sang as a quartet.

Casketbearers were Stanley Limberg, Alton Limberg, Donald Limberg, Clarence Ginrich, David Rozendaal and James Rozendaal. Interment was in the Christian Reformed Church Cemetery.

Tena Limberg, daughter of Harm and Sophia (Jaspers) Limberg, was born on July 31, 1898 on the home farm southwest of Woden, Iowa.

Tena was a charter member of the Woden Christian Reformed Ladies Aide. She was employed by many families to care for those who were ill and wanted to stay in their own homes until their death.

Tena is survived by one sister, Mattle Meyer and her husband, Paul of Woden. Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Sena Limberg of Britt, Iowa; Alice Limberg of Titonka, Iowa and Esther Limberg of Woden, Iowa; and by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: John, Ben, Conrad, Herman, and Edward; and also by a sister, Minnie Ostercamp.
