Services for Sena Limberg, 95, Woden, who died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, were held Saturday, Nov. 9, 1:30 p.m., at the Woden Christian Reformed Church with Rev. James Rozendaal and Rev. Shirley Rozendaal as officiants.

Organist, Mary Van Weelden, accompanied a mixed quartet of Joyce DeWaard, Virginia Vrieze, John Smidt and Paul Tjaden, and the congregational hymns. Ushers were Ernest Van Weelden and Roger Seefeld.

Honorary casket bearers were Nancy Graber, Beverly Klien, Carolyn Edgar, Pamela Spangler, Marvella Blome and Susan Redenius.

Active bearers were Donovan Beenken, B.J. Penning, Douglas Penning, Ronald Penning, Randy Beenken and Jason Redenius.

Burial was at the Woden Christian Reformed Cemetery. with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Sena A. Limberg, the daughter of Menne and Trientje Redenius, was born December 10, 1900, north of Wesley. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and was a member of Woden Christian Reformed Church. She was a charter member of the ladies aid and was active until her health started to fail. She received her education in the schools near Wesley.

February 26, 1925, she married Ben Limberg at the home of her parents in Orthel Township. She and her husband started to farm near Britt. In 1935, they moved to a farm near Woden and lived there until her death.

She is survived by her son, Harley of Britt; six sisters-in-law, Lora Redenius, Sylvia Redenius, Mary Esther Redenius, Trienette Redenius, Esther Limberg and Alice Limberg; a brother-in-law, Paul Meyer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Rally; and six brothers, Fred, Henry, Ole, John, Menno and George.
