Services for Marilyn Greimann, 49 of Garner, who died Friday at Concord Manor Nursing Home in Garner were held 10 a.m., Monday, August 10, at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Julius Rechtermann as officiant.

Organist, Mrs. Ronald TenHaken, accompanied Mrs. Curtis Stadtlander and Mrs. Harley Nuehring who sang as a duet.

Ushers were Byron Smeby and Dennis Lee. Casketbearers were Eldridge Alden, Laurence Greiman, Marvin Holck, Earl Greiman, Don Verbrugge and Howard Greiman.

Burial was in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Marilyn Jean Greimann, the daughter of Hilary and Alice (Holck) Greimann, was born March 7, 1932, at Mason City. She was a 1950 graduate of Garner High School and received her Associate of Arts Degree from Waldorf College in 1953. She taught for three years in Crystal Lake and then obtained her B.A. degree in elementary education at Drake University. She taught school at West Bend for 13 years, at West Union and later Happy Arc in Garner. Prior to her illness of the past 3 1/2 years, she had received her Master's Degree in Special Education at the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls.

She was a member of Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme.

She is survived by her father, Hilary Greimann, Garner, and a sister, Mrs. Gerald (Lois) Hedquist of San Jose, CA.

She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Greimnann in 1962.

Marilyn Greiman

Garner - Marilyn Greiman, 49, Garner, died Friday (Aug. 7, 1981) at a Garner nursing home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Klemme, with the Rev. Julius Rechtermann officiating. Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery, Garner.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Miss Greiman was a 1950 graduate of Garner High School and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Drake University, Des Moines, and a master's degree in special education from the University of Northern Iowa. She caught school in Crystal Lake, West Bend, West Union, and at Happy Arc School in Garner.

She was a member of Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Klemme.

Survivors include her father, Hilary, Garner, and one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Lois). Hedquist, San Jose, Calif.
