Services for Mrs. Marjorie Gobeli, 56, of Miller, who died Thursday, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines were held at 1:30 p.m., Sat., June 8 at Faith Lutheran Church in Miller with Rev. Emil C. Martinson and Rev. Philip Peters as co-officiants.

Mrs. Ronald Anderson served as organist. Ushers were Arno Olson and Kenneth Gast.

Honorary casket bearers were Mrs. Oscar Myers, Mrs. Bill Smith, Mrs. Jan Flaten, Mrs. Russel Engstler and Mrs. Earl White. Active bearers were Bill Smith, Wayne Flaten, Russel Engstler, Kevin Paulson, Jay Griggs and Doug Clement.

Burial was in Madison Township Cemetery at Forest City.

Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Mrs. Marjorie Ann Gobeli, the daughter of Ben and Mabel (Munson) Riekena was born May 8, 1929 at Woden. She attended school in Bingham Township in Hancock County and graduated from high school at Forest City. She lived and worked in the Forest City area for several years.

June 14, 1968 she was married to Donald L. Gobeli at Forest City. They lived in Meservey, Leland and in 1969 moved to Miller.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Gobeli; her children: Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Cushman of Algona, Mrs. Bill (Marcia) Prescott of Klemme and Douglas R. Gobeli of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren; her brother, Bennie Riekena and his wife, Dorene, of Bloomington, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donavon, in 1976; and her parents.
