Died - At the home of his daughter in St. Paul, Minn., Gustave Godefroy, aged 70 years. The remains were brought to Britt last Saturday for burial. Mr. Godefroy was born in Belgium, came to the United States when a young man. When President Lincoln called for volunteers to put down rebellion, Mr. Godefroy organized and partly furnished Company H. of the 25th, N. Y. regiment, went to the front as their Captain, was wounded in the battle of Bull Run.

He retired to Albany N. Y., was married to Miss Margarette Kaltaux, engaged and continued in the jewelry business for 20 years at that place. He then moved to Blue Earth, Minn., thence to Emmetsburg, Iowa, thence to Britt, where the have resided for the past 12 years.

Mr. Godefroy was a member of the Masonic order and also a member of the Grand Army of the Republic who, with the M. E. Church Society performed the last rites.
