Mrs. C. F. Chapman Died In Canada

News Of Her Sudden Demise Came As Shock To Many Friends Here

Body Brought Here Yesterday and Funeral Will be Held Today

Friends in Britt of Mrs. Minnie Chapman were shocked to hear of her death which occurred at Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, at 8 o'clock p.m. Friday, February 24th. Mrs. Chapman was called to Red Deer last June to assist in the care of her aged mother, Mrs. A. L. Thomas, who died on December 10th last. Meager reports indicate that Mrs. Chapman was a victim of influenza.

Mr. Chapman died in May 1931 while the family tenanted the old Palmer farm southeast of Britt. Closing up her affairs following his death, Mrs. Chapman had remained in Britt until called to care for her mother.

Mrs. Chapman came from a large family. Those surviving are Mrs. Louis Boode, Sheridan, Wyoming; Mrs. James Jamison, Lacombe; Mrs. Ole Boode, Red Deer; Mrs. L. S. Haney, Elmo, Washington; Mrs. Violet Walters, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Milo Baker, Fort Assiniboine; George Thomas, Odell, Ill.; Harry Thomas, Eckville, Minn., and Irvine Thomas, of Fertile, Minn.

Surviving children of Mrs. Chapman are Mrs. Alta Thorne of Odell, Ill.; Mrs. Peter Brethorst, Buffalo Center, and George Chapman of Mason City.

Deceased reached her 58th birthday on March 25th. A daughter, Mrs. Kline, preceded her in death.
