Funeral Rites For Mrs. C. Shoemaker Held Here April 4

Long-Time resident Of Garner Had been Bedfast For More Than Year

An illness of more than one year's duration resulted in the death, April 1, of Mrs. Chris Shoemaker, 69, a long-time resident of Garner, who passed away at her home.

Prior to her death, Mrs. Shoemaker had been confined to her bed for many months. Thruout her suffering the same patience and kindness that won her many friends were always in evidence.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Boniface church with the Rev. Fr. Manternach officiating. Burial was at St. Boniface cemetery.

Frances Julia Lynch was born to Richard and Bridget Lynch at Elm Grove, Wis., on Jan. 22, 1867. She spent many of her years in Garner and had resided here continuously for the last 21 years.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Jennie, now Mrs. James Campbell of Cottonwood, S. D.; and Margaret, now Mrs. Walter Dirkson of Wode; one step daughter, Mrs. James Turner, of Tiffin, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Kinney of Manistee, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Leehy, Garner, and Mrs. Lelia Cleaves, Southgate, Calif.; and 8 grandchildren.

All the near relatives were here to attend the last rites, and St. Boniface church was filled with other relatives and friends.
