Services held for Henry Nolte, 80
Funeral services were held for Henry Nolte Monday, Nov. 24, at the United Methodist church in Goodell, with Rev. Byron Surface officiating. He passed away Saturday at Concord Manor in Garner after a lengthy illness. Interment was in Amsterdam cemetery. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers selected were Duane Garberick of Wilmar, Minn., John Burrs of Kanawha, Lawrence Christie of Marble Rock, Christie Peterson of Goodell and Benjamin Nolte and James Peterson of Belmond.
Henry Daniel Nolte was born Oct. 3, 1889, the son of George and Ida Essler Nolte, at Algona. He received his education in the schools of Minneapolis, Minn. He was a member of the United Methodist church in Goodell. On Jan. 1, 1914 he was united in marriage at Goodell to Veda Christie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and grandchild.
Surviving are three sons, George of Adams, Minn., Alvin of LeRoy, Minn., and Bernard of Goodell; a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Alberta) Peterson of Waverly, and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Grace) Hamilan of Oesso, Minn.
