Albert Nolte Dies Suddenly On Way Home From Cornelia
Severe Heart Attack At Cornelia Saturday Proves Fatal
Albert Nolte passed away very suddenly last Saturday night. He had been helping with threshing near Alexander all day and in the evening he accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Orick Busick and Dale Busick to a dance at Cornelia. On the way out he complained of a pain in his chest, saying he had had slight pains at times for three of four days but not so severe. The pains left in a few minutes, but some time after reaching Cornelia he had another attack and Orick Busick said he would take him home. Mrs. Busick and Dale stayed at Cornelia. Mr. Nolte talked and seemed as well as ever till they got to the bridge just south of town when he slumped forward in the seat and was breathing hard. Mr. Busick found it difficult driving and holding him in the seat. A few blocks from the doctor's office he heard Mr. Nolte draw his last breath. When they reached Dr. McBurney's office, the doctor pronounced him dead. Mr. Nolte's brothers and the coroner were summoned, and on the arrival of the coroner, the body was taken to the undertaking room of the Wright County Furniture Co., where heart failure was pronounced as the cause of death.
Albert Erving Nolte was born Feb. 26, 1878, and passed away July 25, 1931, at the age of 53 years and five months. He was the son of Charles and Hannah Nolte, one of ten sons. He was born at Cedar Falls, later moving to Butler county, where he resided three years and in Kossuth county where he lived six years. Then for several years he lived at Goodell, but the past few years, till this spring, he was employed in Lathrop's pool hall here.
He leaves to mourn, five brothers, Charles of Algona, Ernest of Gary, Ind., John and Fred of Goodell and Julius of near Belmond. His parents and four brothers, Will, Frank, George and Ed preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the U.B. church at Goodell and interment in the cemetery at that place.
