Merle Kudej

Kanawha - Merle Kudej, 65, a retired farmer in the Kanawha area died Friday (Jan. 14, 1983) at a Mason City hospital.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, with the Rev. William Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery, Kanawha.

Visitation will be after 6 tonight until 11:30 a.m. Monday at Carter Funeral Home, Kanawha, and at the church before services.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kudej farmed in the Kanawha area, retiring in 1982 and moving to Kanawha.

He was a member of the American Legion Severson Post 77, Kanawha VFW Post 6854, and Rural Electric Cooperative. He also was a member of the Farmers Co-op board, serving as president for one term, and an active member of the Kanawha Experimental Farm Board.

Survivors include his wife, Delores, and one brother, Howard, Kanawha.
