Services Saturday for Ora Johnson
Funeral services for Ora Adrian Johnson, 66, were held Saturday at the Belmond Bible church, the Rev. David Dunn officiating. Mr. Johnson died at Belmond Community hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 12 after having suffered a heart attack ten days earlier. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was in Amsterdam cemetery at Goodell.
Casket bearers were Ransom Allen, Kanawha; Raymond Cline, Harm Katuin and Arthur Zeigler, Goodell; Merle Ruka and Douglas White.
Ora Adrian Johnson was born April 24, 1902, at Kanawha, the son of Elizabeth Ott and Andrew A. Johnson. He was educated in rural schools near Kanawha and on June 15, 1920 was married to Opal Mae Trees at New Ulm, Minn.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, Aaron of Hopkins, Minn.; Ronald and Arlan of Belmond; seven daughters, Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Coballero, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Elmer (Bonna Jean) Decker, Pequat Lakes, Minn.; Mrs Earl (Berniece) VanBuskirk, Brownsdale, Minn.; Mrs. James (Ioleta) Haan, Ogilvie, Minn.; Mrs. Duane (Effie) Johnston, Alexander, Calif.; Mrs. Arden (Sheryl) Kiefer, Belmond; and Mrs. Truman (Juanita) Kiefer, Clarion.
Also three sisters, Mrs. Flossie Hanson, Kanawha; Mrs. Gustav (Alice) Walske, Ely, Minn.; Mrs. William (Ruth) Schuver, Britt; 29 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and five grandchildren.
