Mrs. Almyra Gilman died at Hamilton, Bitterroot Valley, Montana where she was visiting, March 24.
Mrs. L. W. Fuller who was there, returned with the remains and arrived last week Wednesday. Funeral service was held in the English M. E. church Thursday at 11:00 a.m. The body was buried in Goodell cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilman moved to Hancock county in October 1863 and settled in Avery township. Mr. Gilman died in '78 since which time Mrs. Gilman has lived with her children. She was a member of the U.B. church. Everybody knew and loved mother Gilman. She was a consistent christian, a kind neighbor, a loving wife and a fond parent.
Mrs. Gilman was born in St. Lawrence County, New York, Oct. 12, 1821, so she was 80 years, 5 months and 12 days old when she died. Three children survive her, Mrs. S. A. Fuller, J. C. Gilman of Montana and M. Gilman.
