Frank Gee

Frank Gee, 87, was born August 7, 1859 at Centerville, Michigan. He and Alice Ann Auton were married March 14, 1879 at Centerville. They lived for 5 years in Michigan, 6 years in Kansas, 24 years in Corwith and 32 years at Goodell, a total of 56 years in Hancock county. Mr. Gee farmed in these different states.

They were the parents of 6 children, one son died in infancy and two daughters, Laura and Edith at the ages of 14 and are buried at Corwith.
Mr. Gee served Avery twp. many years as Justice of the Peace. He was a man of good habits and was respected by his neighbors.

He leaves of his immediate family, his wife, a son, Ernest of Corwith, two daughters, Grace of Centerville, Mich. and Mrs. Chris Gram (Bessie) of Cedar Falls, and one granddaughter, Eva Gee, of Mason City.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 28th, at 2 p.m. in the U.B. church, with the Rev. Carleton Spencer in charge. Pallbearers were Cliff Estle, Harvey Boller, Merle Avery, Tim Gerdes, Charles Peterson and Harvey Wilson. Mrs. Wesenberg was pianist and the mixed quartet, V. E. Harris, Mrs. A. C. Carpenter, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Cook sang. Burial was in the Amsterdam cemetery.
