Wilbur C. Hanson rites at Klemme

Funeral services for Wilbur C. Hanson, 65, formerly of the Klemme and Garner communities were held Monday, Jan. 6th, from the Bohn Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Mr. Hanson died on Wednesday, Jan. 1st, at a hospital in Greeley, Colorado.

The Rev. Donald L. Campbell, pastor of the United Methodist church of Klemme, officiated. Special music for the services was supplied. He was laid to rest in the Concord Cemetery, adjacent to Garner.

He was born August 12, 1908, at Lorenz, Iowa, the son of William and Rebecca (Nelson) Hanson.

He was married to Luella (Suzie) Frogg at Algona on March 17, 1936. He farmed and had been employed by an implement company and a bakery before moving to Greeley. In Greeley, he was a machinery mechanic for Case Tractor company until his retirement in 1970 due to ill health.

He is survived by his wife, Suzie, one son, Gary Hanson, Brush, Colorado, and two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Sharon) Myers, Mason City, and Marcia Hanson, Greeley, ten grandchildren, four brothers, Marvin Hanson, Garner, Arthur Hanson, Kersey, Colorado, Lyle Hanson, Greeley, and John Hanson, Klemme, and one sister, Mrs. Lavonne Marshall, of Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth.
