Etta Heginger's, 60, services held

Funeral services for Etta Heginger, 60, were held last Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 1:30 p.m. from the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ of Klemme. She died on Saturday night, Dec. 28, at the Belmond Community hospital.

The Rev. Marvin Lehmann was in charge of arrangements. Comfort in music was supplied by organist, Mrs. Marvin Lehmann; the singers were, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Beier, who sang, "Goodnight and Good Morning," and "How Great Thou Art."

She was laid to rest in the Klemme cemetery. Pallbearers were; John Eenhuis, Harold Schwartz, Norman Hayworth, Clayton Prescott, Elmer Green, and Hugh Hummel.

Mrs. Heginger was born September 1, 1914 in Franklin County, the daughter of Stenus and Grace (Folkerts) Harms. She had attained the age of 60 years, three months, and 27 days, at the time of her death.

She was reared and educated in the schools of Franklin county. Then on February 3, 1934, she was united in marriage to Carl Heginger in Mason City.

The couple farmed for a short time near Ventura, and then came to Klemme in 1936 where they spent the rest of their lives.

Mr. Heginger passed away on July 22, 1968.

Survivors include ten children: LuVerne of Klemme; Lyle of Belmond; Mrs. Roger (Lois) Ward of State Center; Carl of Klemme; Mrs. John (Edna) VanGerpen of Center Point; Bill of Britt; Mrs Jerry (Sharon) Weide of Garner; Mrs. Jerry (Zelda) Scott of Klemme; Anthony of Klemme; and Ricky of Klemme. Thirty-six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Maggie) Steenblock of Belmond; Mrs. Kasper (Grace) Lamfers of Kanawha; five brothers, Martin Harms and Taus Harms of Belmond; Reno and Herman Harms of Garner, and Ernest Harms of Bradford.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one son and two grandchildren.
