Funeral Services for Castle Held at Britt St. Patrick's Church
Britt, Nov. 24 - Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Patrick's church for Charles Fay Castle, who had managed for 14 years the Farmers' Industrial union, now known as the Farmers Co-operative company. Rites were in charge of the Rev. J. P. Quirin, assisted by the Rev. W. G. Baxter of Jesup. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.
Mr. Castle died at a Mason City hospital Tuesday evening. The immediate cause of his death was apoplexy.
Mr. Castle had lived in Britt most of the time for the past 20 years. He was born at Ireton, Dec. 16, 1873. His mother died when he was a small boy and he went to live with his grandmother at Grundy Center. He was married on Dec. 19, 1894 to Miss Mary Mitchell and came at once to Britt to make their home.
Born to this union were three children, Mrs. William Hughes of Algona; Mrs. Leo Clark of Britt; George Castle of Galveston, Tex. He is also survived by his step mother, Mrs. Elma Castle, a brother, Arthur, at Britt, and Elmer at Charles City and several grandchildren.
