E. WESSON RITES HELD AT GARNER
Services Are at Church for Aged Resident; Leaves Three Sons
GARNER, Jan. 28 - Funeral services for Edward Trumbell Wessen [sic], 82, were held in the Presbyterian church yesterday afternoon, the Rev. D. J. Lewis officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. Clark Selby. Burial was in the Concord cemetery.
Mr. Wessen was born at Flint, Mich., Oct. 21, 1868 [sic], where he received his education and business training in his fathers store. At the age of 28, Mr. Wessen moved to Clinton where three years later he was married to Rebecca Cole. In March 1885, Mr. and Mrs. Wessen located on a farm three miles northeast which he later bought.
After 21 years Mr. and Mrs. Wessen moved in to Garner where he was manager of a grain elevator until an illness overtook him which lasted a year. Mrs. Wessen died six years ago. Mr. Wessen is survived by three married sons, Leonard of Tacoma, Wash.; Dr. J. S., Garner, and Fred of Yuma, Ariz., and five grandchildren.
