Britt rites Saturday for George Krambeer

BRITT: George Krambeer, 72, died Wednesday night at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul W. Adix of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Born April 26, 1890, at St. Olaf, Iowa, he was the son of John and Augusta Englehart Krambeer. He was married Oct. 22, 1913, to Alice Farmer in Monona. They farmed near Britt from 1919 to 1934 and had lived here since.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Clifford, Clear Lake; George Jr., Madison, Wis.; six daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Marie) Blank, Bemidji, Minn.; Mrs. Chris (Alice) Bashans, Hemlock, Mich.; Mrs. James (Vera) Drabek, Des Moines; Mrs. Ivan (Florence) Norstrud, Britt; Mrs. George (Pearl) Bahr, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. Rolland (Clara) Oxley, Rock Falls; 35 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three sisters. He was preceded in death by a son, Leo, in Germany in World War II; seven brothers and three sisters.
