BRITT: Bertha J. Jesse, 87, of Britt, died Wednesday (March 13, 1996) at the Westview Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Mattson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Chapel, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Bertha J. Jesse was born Sept. 29, 1928 in Britt. [marriage date]

Survivors include two daughters, Joy Nelson of Clear Lake, and Marilyn Heesch of Titonka; two sisters, Martha Gunderson of Garner, and Roseta Aitchison of Ventura; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, one sister, one brother and one great grandchild.
