Ole C. Smidt Sr.

BRITT - Ole C. Sr., 88, of Britt, died Friday (April 24, 1992) at the Westview Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.

Mr. Smidt was born Sept. 9, 1903 in Hancock County.

Visitation is after 2 p.m. Monday at the Ewing Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; one daughter, Emily Redmond, Charles City; two sons, Ole Jr., of Britt, and Allen, of Tilden. Neb.; five sisters, Anna Cook, of Illinois, Emily Block, Helen Smidt, and Janelle Gourley, all of Mason City, and Geraldine Pitkin, Clear Lake; two brothers, Ben and George, both of Mason City; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
