Britt youth drowns at Lutheran camp

Britt - A Britt youth, Roger Kerch, 14, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kerch, drowned Saturday night at a lake near Brainerd, Minn. He and a group of students were at a Lutheran Bible camp.

Roger was a student at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School, Vinton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Lutheran Church at Crystal Lake. A prayer service for the immediate family will be held at 1:15.

Surviving are his parents, two brothers, James and Michael; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kerch, and a great grandmother, Mrs. Henry Fritz, Worthington, Minn.

The Boughton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
