Garner Youth Kills Self; Was Veteran Of World War
Jos. Kofron, Garner youth, committed suicide a week ago Sunday by hanging himself. He had been working at Frank Tlach's for a year. On the morning of the suicide he scarcely spoke at breakfast, and the Tlachs noticed that he did not eat much. After breakfast he attended church at Duncan.
The Talchs took diner at the Frank Kopecek home. They had asked Kofron to join them, but when he did not show up, nothing was thought of it.
When the Tlachs got home that evening and went about their chores, Mrs. Tlach found the body swinging from a joice in a double corn crib. Kofron had been dead several hours.
The youth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kofron, north of Duncan, and was 30 years old. He served in the Rainbow division during the World War.
