Kloock Funeral Held In Garner

Carl Kloock, 54, Dies After Attack of Pneumonia in Minnesota

Garner, Sept. 22 - Funeral services were held here in the Lutheran church, the Rev. H. R. Wrede officiating, yesterday afternoon for Carl Kloock, 54. He was born in Mecklenberg, Germany, June 26, 1876.

At the age of 16, he came to Garner. For a time he worked on a farm and later helped build bridges on the railroad. In 1917 he and his brother, Will, bought a farm close to Venita, Okla., on which they lived three years when they returned to Garner, tho still owning the farm. From then until the fall of 1929, Mr. Kloock worked on the Rock Island road when his health failed. On Sept. 9 Carl and his brother, Will, drove to Farwell, Minn., to visit their brother, John. Here he became seriously ill with pneumonia. He was taken to Starbuck hospital where he died Friday morning.

Relatives who survive him are Will Kloock, Garner; John, Farwell, Minn.; Otto, Whittemore; Mrs. Bertha Cook, Mason City; H. E. Bok, Woden and Milo Sherf, Mason City.

Pallbearers were C. R. Conway, Charles Hoeft, Will Hoeft, Ben Haes, Will Wrede and Carl Wolwood. Burial was in Concord cemetery.
