Edmund Sorenson

Crystal Lake - Edmund P. Sorenson, 77, died Thursday morning at a Mason City hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. Boughton Funeral Home, Britt, is in charge.

Born May 26, 1886, on a farm southwest of here, he was married March 11, 1914, to Emily J. Martensen. She died in 1926 and in 1935 he was married to Mildred King. He farmed in this area and was a member of the school board.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred; 12 children, Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Schubert, Garner; Harlan, Crystal Lake; Calvin, Britt; Russell, Britt; Morris, Noridgewock, Maine; Kenneth, Woden; Mrs. Marvin (Lois) Otis, Forest City; Mrs. Bruce (Doryce) Hanna, Britt; Mrs. LaVerne (Marvella) Holtorf, Ames; Mrs. Gary (Dorothy) Brown, Corwith; Mrs. Ronald (Paulette) Dahle, Sacramento, Calif.; Elizabeth, at home; 30 grandchildren, a great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Wayne Roundy, Las Vegas, Nev.
