Graveside Services For Joseph Smith, 87

Graveside services were conducted at the Crystal Lake cemetery Wednesday afternoon for Joseph C. Smith, 87, a brother in law of Mrs. Mate Gillstrap.

Smith died Monday June 27 while visiting at the home of his daughter and son in law, the Elmer Rassmusons, at St. Paul, Minn. His home was in Iowa Falls.

Mr. Smith and family lived on the farm now owned by Chris Kuch. He is survived by his four children: Mrs. Elmer Rassmuson, Mrs. Vern Chindlund and Chalmer Smith all of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Sylvane Alexander, of Minot, N. Dak. His wife preceded him in death in 1927 and also a 9 year old daughter.

All his children and their husbands and relatives of Iowa Falls, Andrew Smith of Forest City, and Mrs. Mate Gillstrap attended the services here and visited at the Gillstrap home after the services. Mr. Smith was buried beside his wife here in the Crystal Lake cemetery.
