C. W. Strate services set at Garner

Garner - Charles W. Strate, 76, died Monday morning at a Mason City hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ here. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Bohn Funeral Home in charge.

Born in Charles City June 5, 1887, he was the son of William and Carolin Strate. He was married Jan 1, 1914, to Pauline Upmeyer of Garner. He operated farms in Floyd and Hancock counties and the last 25 years was a distributor for Jacques Seed Corn Co.

Surviving are his wife, two brothers, Roy, Hot Springs, Ark., and John, Garner.
