Roach Funeral Services Held

Rites Are Conducted at St. Boniface Church for 80 Year Old Man

Garner - Funeral rites for John J. Roach, 80, were held Wednesday morning at the St. Boniface Catholic church in Garner with the Rev. M. J. Manternach offering the requiem mass. Burial was made in the St. Boniface cemetery.

Mr. Roach died Sunday night at the home of his oldest daughter, Mrs. Emil Gelner, near Forest City. Since the death of his wife four years ago, Mr. Roach had divided his time among his children, and his health had been failing the last several months.

He is survived by 12 children: Mrs. Gelner, Dave Roach of Garner, Mrs. Ed Thul of Clarion, John Roach of Reynard, Wash., Mrs. Leo Schmidt of Garner, Mike Roach of Garner, Mrs. Vic Gelner of Forest City, Mrs. Quentin Geddes of Hayfield, Charles Roach of St. Charles, Mo., Maurice Roach of Garner, Theresa Roach of Mason City and Edward Roach of Reynard: and two brothers, Tom Roach of Staples, Minn., and Dave Roach of Albert Lea, Minn.

Mr. Roach moved to this territory from Buffalo Center 30 years ago and resided here ever since.

Pallbearers were George Knoll, Peter Becker, Louis Schleusner, John Sebers, D. F. Collins and Louis Schmidt. Carl W. Bohn's funeral home directed arrangements.
