O. K. Maben secretary of the Hancock County Mutual Insurance Company, died last week in a hospital at LaCrosse, Wis., and his funeral was held at Garner Sunday.

Mr. Maben was 70 years of age and was born southeast of Forest City. His entire life was spent on the home farm until he moved to Garner 14 years ago. His father was the first secretary of the county mutual, Mr. Maben succeeded his father in the office. Aside from the time he served in the state legislature he had been secretary continuously since his father's death.
