KLEMME - Lois A. Schmidt, 53, of rural Garner, died Friday (Jan. 5, 1990) at her home after a long illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ, Klemme, with the Rev. Don Walters officiating. Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Monday at the Tenold Funeral Home, Klemme.
She was born Oct. 1, 1936, at Klemme, a daughter of Edwin and Myrtle (Wistey) Jacobs. She graduated from Klemme High School and attended Iowa State University, Ames.
She married Marvin Schmidt Sept. 23, 1955, at the United Church of Christ, Klemme. They moved to a farm west of Klemme where they had lived since. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Women's Fellowship, a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Legion Auxiliary, Klemme.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin, rural Garner; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Luann) Roloff. Fairmont, Minn., and Lori Schmidt, Klemme; one son, Ray Schmidt, Klemme; her mother, Myrtle Jacobs, Clear Lake; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Elwin Jacobs, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Dean Jacobs, Mason City.
She was preceded in death by her father.
